There are many misconceptions about Santeria, La Regla de Ocha, Ocha's Rule and many people approach me with questions, I am opening this page to answer any and all questions you may have about Santeria and the Orishas.

You can be attracted to an Orisha and it may or may not be your head Orisha, the reading to find out who your guardian orisha is can only be done by a babalao, the male high priest in a ceremonial called plante.
DeleteWe all may have protections from many Orishas who may not be the ones who are to be crowned, for example, I have protector spirits with powerful energies from Yemaya and I feel a powerful connection with her but she is not my head orisha. At different times of your life one or another orisha may come out to assist you, it could be your head orisha or someone else.

ReplyDeleteMy brother began wearing a rosary he had received from a Santero. He came home one night drunk or something and in the morning he was out of it. I guess the rosery was bothering him so he took it off. He forgot about it and left the house. My mother found it and wouldn't touch it with her bare hands. She quickly took it outside. A week later we were throwing things away and i found it. I went to pick it up and my hand began to tingle. My mother poured holy water over my hands and wrapped the rosary in a cloth and poured holy water over it then said some prayer.

Glad to find a site that answers questions about Santeria but its inactive. Ahhhh...Where can I speak to practitioners who're open to explaining how to protect a child? Constant (Catholic) prayers alone, no help. Guess God's mad about the whole Vatican 2 dealeo. Can't blame him...

I have a question I work with this woman she is santera and she is crowned with Oshun .she claims to be sweet and blessed nobody can touch or harm her .now here is what I don't understand .how can somebody spend so much money to recieve this saint and do do so much harm to people she spend her nights doing black magic on everybody at work to split people up .hating and gossiping .you look at her and you see how dark and sick .she is .how come that saint allows her to do this and what happens to her then ?
